POLYURETHANE INJECTION SYSTEM

1. GeoPolySoil Stabiliser
Experienced technicians inject the appropriate Polyurethane resins through tiny pattern-drilled holes, immediately below the slab or footing. The components are precisely machine-mixed and chemically expand almost immediately, exerting a mold pressure that fills voids encountered, re-establishing or conforming structural support. They cure, again almost immediately, to a strong stable and long lasting material that is immediately trafficable and environmentally neutral.

Sub-grade compaction has been found to occur contemporaneously down to 500mm in week ground. Continued injection allows lifting to fractional tolerances. The spread of materials is controlled, whilst the rate of lift is a gentle, precise operation. Movement is carefully monitored by laser and computer level. Results are immediate and permanent.

1. PolyGeo Injection System and GeoArtRoot System
For stabilization of the weak material, polyurethane (PU) foam/resin will be injected for recompaction and stability of the material. In addition, the impermeable characteristic of the PU foam/resin will divert water from flowing underneath the ground surface, reducing the seepage. Using polyurethane foam injection method, no excavation is required and small diameter holes are drilled to perform the work. The setting and curing time for PU foam is very fast, whereby it takes only 24 hours for the foam to harden. 

In addition, since PU foam is an expansive material  and lightweight, the volume of liquid material before mix is less and acts as a buoyant layer for soil stabilization.

As for cavity filling, PU foam/resin for will be injected for void filling. This will plug the void area and prevent migration of the fill material into the cavities created from the settlement of the ground. Since PU foam/resin is lightweight, it does not impose additional overburden pressure to the soil.

2. GeoMicroHelics System (Alternative Permanent Underpinning System) 
GeoMicroHelical System is designed to provide geotechnical support and alternative permanent underpinning capabilities for structures experiencing massive settlement issues and structures constructed on different foundation types.

Prior to installation of the underpinning support system, dynamic probing is required to determine the indirect strength resistance and depth of penetration.

GeoMicroHelical System not only applicable for vertical application but also can be implemented for inclined and horizontal application such as slope remedial works. Usually this type of method will be used with a combination of grid beam (slope remedial works) in order to hold the helical pile head.

(An Innovative Solution Concept for Ground Settlement and Rehabilitation)

With the emergence of PU foam as one of the alternative methods to solve ground settlement issues and rehabilitation of existing superstructure and infrastructure, an ingenious solution using GeoPolyMattress was introduced to reduce the overburden pressure for the new construction of embankments and platforms. Since it is lightweight, buoyancy is introduced to reduce the issue of settlement on soft saturated deposits.

This idea of integrating consolidation and buoyancy is the key in designing and analysing GeoPolyMattress to support the platform above and provide buoyancy, hence reduces the consolidation settlement of soft ground.

GeoPolyMattress is a lightweight mattress technique for ground remediation of existing depressed road embankments and development of new road embankments and platforms. The objective of this system is to provide buoyancy effect and to reduce the overburden pressure, hence reduce the amount of settlement of soft ground. In addition, the lightweight properties help to reduce the development of excess pore water pressure from the overburden pressure, which in turn becomes buoyant force to support the lightweight material.
